Raised in Arabia and Tehran, Ward is the author of Searching for Hassan: A Journey to the Heart of Iran, The Guardian of Mercy: How an Extraordinary Painting by Caravaggio Changed an Ordinary Life, and The Wahhabi Code. He serves on the international board of The Markaz Review, a literary review that embraces all Middle Eastern cultures. His award-winning docs include Black Africa White Marble and Talk Radio Tehran.

Idanna Pucci

Writer & cultural historian

Growing up in Florence, Idanna witnessed the creativity of her uncle, Emilio, and later worked for him in New York City before making her base in Indonesia. She is the author of The Lady of Sing Sing: An American Countess, an Italian Immigrant and their Battle for Justice in New York’s Gilded Age; The World Odyssey of a Balinese Prince; Brazza in Congo; and The Epic of Life: The Balinese Journey of the Soul. Her award-winning docs are set in Congo and Iran.
